Description
MSM, i.e. methyl sulphonyl methane, is a natural compound containing organic sulphur. Organic sulphur is produced by plankton and algae in the sea, from which it then enters into the food chain. Organic sulphur can be found in small amounts e.g. in tomatoes, cabbage and milk.
Sulphur is the 4th most abundant mineral in the body. It is found in amino acids methionine and cysteine, and it functions in a number of enzymes involved in e.g. energy production. Sulphur also strengthens the structure of many proteins. MSM is familiar to many athletes and fitness enthusiasts as they use it to speed up recovery after exercise.
Food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Dosage
For adults 1–7 measuring spoons a day. One measuring spoon is 0,7 g.
The powder can be dissolved in water or other liquid or mixed with cold food.
